Michail Antonio has tipped West Ham to finish higher than Liverpool this season despite the Irons coming 14th last year.
Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, the Premier League striker made the bold claim that the Hammers could come out on top against Liverpool at the end of the season.
West Ham face the Reds this weekend in what could be a massive game for both clubs, with David Moyes’ side and Liverpool starting the season strongly.

However, Antonio has now publically said that West Ham could do the unthinkable and finish above Liverpool this season in the Premier League.
Antonio said: “I am backing myself over Liverpool. You know what, I think we are going to finish higher than Liverpool this season. I’m putting it out there.

“I watched the game [Wolves vs Liverpool] because it was before our game and Wolves could have run away with it. They had quite a few opportunities. We’ve got them this weekend and it’s a six-pointer.”
Liverpool can end Antonio’s West Ham dream this weekend

With Liverpool already three points clear of West Ham in the Premier League, Antonio’s lofty dream can come crashing down already if the Reds come away with a win on Sunday.
West Ham will arguably be Liverpool’s biggest test this season based on their early form this campaign, though the Anfield side could get the better of the east London side with ease on Sunday.
As a result, Antonio’s dream of finishing above Liverpool could be ended before it’s even had a chance to start, a prospect that might excite many Reds supporters.
