‘World-class’ Liverpool star to become centre of huge transfer battle

Saudi Arabia clubs are reportedly set to battle it out for Mohamed Salah’s signature, with the Liverpool star now a top target for multiple sides.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Ittihad are set to be joined by a number of rival clubs in January in their bid to sign Salah, who remains a top target for Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool rejected a club-record offer in the latter stages of the summer window from Al-Ittihad, though the expectation now is that there will be more bids for Salah in the January window.

Recently lauded by Garth Crooks as ‘world-class’, a fear could soon set on Anfield that Salah will actually leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia in 2024.

And the attacker soon becoming the centre of a massive transfer battle between Middle Eastern clubs could be a major issue for the Reds, who will not want to lose Salah.

Indeed, Al-Ittihad’s bid in the summer could just be a taste of what’s to come for Liverpool, and losing Salah to Saudi Arabia could soon be cranked to 11 if other clubs enter the fold.

Liverpool have to reject every Saudi Arabia approach for Salah

The Saudi Arabia threat is very much real for Liverpool in regards to Salah, and more clubs entering the picture will do little to lower their nerves heading into January.

The 31-year-old is clearly PIF’s top target for 2024, and Liverpool might find themselves in a position where it will be impossible to reject a mind-boggling bid for Salah.

However, the Reds will have to stay strong, and Salah staying beyond this season is a real possibility if results on the pitch are good and if Saudi Arabia’s lure can wear off for the attacker.
