Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is already looking like being one of the signings of the summer transfer window.
The Hungarian has made a great start to life at Anfield. He scored a cracking first goal before the international break and will now be looking to kick on.
And speaking on ESPN, former Scotland midfielder Craig Burley was really surprised to hear The Athletic’s survey of agents and best signings had rank Szoboszlai the same level as James Ward-Prowse.
Craig Burley slams agents survey for Szoboszlai and Ward-Prowse rankings
The Athletic’s survey from agents on the best and worst signings has provided a bit of a talking point among pundits this week.
However, former Scotland man Burley was far from impressed with the survey even being commissioned.

And during a mini-rant on the entire debate, Burley admitted he couldn’t believe Szoboszlai had been given the same number of votes as West Ham newbie, Ward-Prowse.
“James Ward-Prowse is a good professional, but he has the same number of votes as a Rolls Royce in Dominik Szoboszlai. Listen, things I never thought I would be talking about on live television is a football agent survey. A football agent survey? Seriously?” Burley said.
Both midfielders have made a fine start to life at their new clubs. Of course, Liverpool paid nearly double the money West Ham did for Ward-Prowse, which could be adding weight to the argument here.
RTK’s View: A star in the making
Among all our new signings, we’d be lying if we didn’t say we were most excited by the performances of Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian has looked every bit the class act and seems to suit the Liverpool way of playing brilliantly.
Of course, we think James Ward-Prowse has been a fine signing by West Ham and he’s having a great season himself.
But long-term, Szoboszlai could end up being a Premier League great and given he’s just a few months into life in England, his potential is frightening.
