Trabzonspor are reportedly a last-minute swoop to sign Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara, with the Turkish transfer window still open until Thursday.
According to Aksam, the Black Sea giants are plotting a late move for the Spanish international, with Trabzonspor already making a big move last week in signing Nicolas Pepe from Arsenal.
Thiago is yet to play for Liverpool this season having spent the entire campaign out on the treatment table, yet a move to Turkey could now be on the cards for the 32-year-old.

The midfielder’s contract with Liverpool is due to expire at the end of this season, and with the Reds doing quite well without Thiago in the squad, there could be a temptation to let the veteran go.
Praised by Mark Lawrenson as a ‘world-class’ player, letting go of a talent as good as Thiago might be a bitter pill for Liverpool to swallow.

However, with an offer potentially on the table for Thiago, Liverpool might be smart to let the former Bayern Munich man leave if Trabzonspor make a good enough bid.
Liverpool should really consider selling Thiago to Trabzonspor

Thiago is set to leave Liverpool in the next 12 months, and if Trabzonspor are willing to put up a cash offer for the midfielder, the Anfield side must consider a sale.
The Reds invested big on midfielders this summer, and whilst selling Thiago might leave them short until January, the financial benefit could be worth it in the long-term.
Indeed, Thiago himself might be keen on moving to Turkey for one last payday, and Trabzonspor could be an appealing destination given their ambitions in the market.
