Tottenham will reportedly look to sign AFC Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly in January, with Liverpool rumoured to be plotting a similar move.
According to Football London journalist Alasdair Gold, Ange Postecoglou’s side could look to sign the Cherries captain as the North London club aim to add to their defence in January.
Tottenham aren’t the only club looking at Kelly in the winter, with 90min reporting that Liverpool are also thinking about signing the English defender in the new year.

Praised by Eddie Howe as an ‘outstanding’ player, Kelly is one of the more under-the-radar centre-backs in the Premier League, which could be why both Liverpool and Tottenham are now interested.
However, given how little quality depth Liverpool have in the defence, Kelly could be a dream January signing for Jurgen Klopp, especially when the Bournemouth star’s versatility is brought into question.

As we know, though, Tottenham could prove to be a more appealing club for Kelly given the opportunities Postecoglou could give the defender, despite Liverpool’s schedule this season.
Liverpool have to ensure they beat Tottenham to Kelly

Kelly’s move to a top-six Premier League side looks to be set in stone already, and for Liverpool, they have to ensure that they beat Tottenham to the centre-back’s signature.
The Reds arguably made a mistake not signing a versatile defender in the summer, and with Kelly potentially available, Liverpool have to do all they can to capture the Bournemouth man.
However, with Postecoglou’s Tottenham one of the most exciting sides in the Premier League, signing Kelly will be no easy feat for the Anfield side, and a plan has to be drafted now ahead of the January window.
