The 17-year-old started against Spain’s U-21s as Doak stole the show for the Tartan Army, with one mazy dribble from the byline going viral on social media.

Despite losing 1-0, Doak’s performance was one to remember for the Scottish media, with the Liverpool winger put on a pedestal after such a display for the U-21s.

To say the Scottish media are excited about Doak and his potential impact on the senior squad would be something of an understatement.

The Daily Record hailed the 17-year-old for his ‘stunning’ performance, whilst the Scotsman were in awe of Doak’s ‘scintillating’ dribble that left the Spanish backline in absolute tatters.

Even the Scotland FA were amazed by Doak’s display, with the official match report from the game mentioning how the Liverpool winger ‘tormented’ his opponents with grace and quality.

Doak’s talents have been know for quite some time, yet it still amazes fans and pundits alike when the winger is allowed to do what he does best in a professional setting.

And for Liverpool, they need to ensure that they don’t allow a youngster as good as Doak to go astray, with the winger good enough to become a starter for the Reds in the years to come.

This season will be massive for the attacker, and if Liverpool can give Doak minutes, they must do so at every possible opportunity.
