Liverpool could reportedly move to sign Federico Chiesa if Mohamed Salah was to be sold in the January transfer window.

According to journalist Dean Jones, the Reds might reignite their interest in the Juventus superstar if Salah was to secure a move to Saudi Arabia in 2024.

The Italian international has been linked with a move to Liverpool for quite some time, with Juventus even looking to sell Chiesa this summer to raise transfer funds and balance the books.

With an asking price of €60m (£51m), the 25-year-old could be a dream signing for Liverpool as a replacement for Salah, with Chiesa, on his day, one of the best wingers in the world.

And a move could now be on the cards, with Juventus likely to entertain offers for Chiesa in January, especially if Liverpool end up selling Salah to Saudi Arabia.

Jones said: “He’s a brilliant player, the sort I can imagine Liverpool might have an eye on whenever Mohamed Salah leaves.”

Hailed by 90min as a ‘world-class’ forward, Chiesa ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to Liverpool signing a replacement for Salah in 2024.

Despite injury issues, the Serie A star remains one of the best attackers in Europe and a player who could reach a whole new level in the Premier League and under Jurgen Klopp.

Moreover, with a £51m asking price, Chiesa would be quite an easy signing to pull off, especially with Juventus not in a financial position to drive up their demands for the 25-year-old.
