Billy Koumetio has named Thiago Alcantara as the best player he has played alongside in Liverpool’s first-team training.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the French defender named the former Bayern Munich maestro as the best player he has trained with since joining the Anfield giants.
Koumetio said about Thiago in Liverpool training: “Thiago is a different class. I love watching him, the way he plays and the way he trains hard. He is very beautiful to watch.”
Whilst the £25m midfielder is yet to feature for Liverpool this season due to injury, there’s no denying that Thiago might be the club’s best player in terms of individual quality.
The midfielder, when fit and firing, is arguably one of the best in the Premier League and beyond, and Koumetio’s comments are a testament to that statement.
