Jose Enrique has predicted Jurgen Klopp to reject any approach from Germany if Hansi Flick was to be sacked as manager.

Taking to Twitter, the former Liverpool defender made the claim that the Anfield boss would not want to replace the former Bayern Munich coach in his current position as Germany’s leading man.

The European giants last night suffered another embarrassing defeat as Germany lost 4-1 in an international friendly to Japan, who also eliminated Flick’s side from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

As a result to yet another loss, Klopp’s name has been circulating as a potential replacement for Flick, who could well lose his job after the international break if Germany lose to France next week.

However, at least in the eyes of Enrique, Klopp won’t be the man to succeed the German coach, even if the Liverpool manager is the best man for the job.

Klopp has been linked with the Germany job for what feels like forever, yet even if their lowest moment for some years, the chances of the Liverpool manager taking over still feel impossible.

Hailed by the Bundesliga’s official website as a ‘world-class’ coach, now is simply not the right time for Klopp to throw in his work at Liverpool to save Germany from potential international wreckage.

Moreover, with other candidates better suited to the role, the DFB will be wise to identify different coaches who could be easier to persuade rather than Klopp.
