Jan Aage Fjortoft has said Al-Ittihad are coming in with a second offer for Mohamed Salah after having a £150m bid rejected by Liverpool on deadline day.

Taking to Twitter, the pundit claimed that an ‘unbelievable offer’ was in the pipeline from the Saudi Arabia side amid growing reports that Al-Ittihad will make one more attempt to sign Salah.

With rumours circulating that a world-record offer of £215m could be made before Saudi Arabia’s transfer deadline on Thursday, Al-Ittihad could well be about to do the unthinkable for Salah.

The Liverpool winger has been strongly linked with a move to the Middle Eastern giants in recent weeks, and a bid worth over £200m could really test the Anfield side’s resolve.

However, with Liverpool unable to sign a replacement, there is a more than certain chance that this new bid from Al-Ittihad will still be rejected by the Reds.

Saudi Arabia’s extend transfer window means Liverpool fans have been on edge for some time over Salah’s future, with Al-Ittihad’s second potential bid now in the pipeline.

Yet just like with their first offer for the winger, Liverpool need to stand strong and make a stance against the Middle East side, with Salah simply too important to sell.

With the English window also shut, selling Salah now, even for a world-record fee, would put Liverpool in a difficult position, where they will be down a world-class player heading into the first half of the season.
