Garth Crooks has applauded Liverpool’s move to sign Dominik Szoboszlai in the transfer window after another impressive Premier League performance.
Writing for BBC Sport, the pundit was full of praise for the 22-year-old after the Hungarian international scored Liverpool’s opener in their 3-0 win against Aston Villa.
The technique of the finish could make Szoboszlai’s strike an early contender for goal of the season, with the midfielder quickly becoming a fan favourite at Anfield.

Signed for £60m from RB Leipzig, Szoboszlai has not put a foot wrong yet for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and the midfielder was rewarded with the Man of the Match accolade yet again for the Reds on the weekend.
And Crooks has been blown away by the midfield, with the pundit saying about Liverpool’s summer signing: “When the Hungary international arrived at Anfield I said he had big shoes to fill.

“Well, he looks like a player who is enjoying the challenge. He was equally impressive in that epic battle at Newcastle last week and stayed the course – and it looks like Liverpool have bought wisely here.”
Szoboszlai already looks like Liverpool’s signing of the summer

Liverpool spent well in the summer on the likes of Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister, but there’s no denying that Szoboszlai already looks like the deal of the window.
The Hungarian superstar has taken to life in the Premier League with flying colours, and Szoboszlai is only getting better with each game for Liverpool.
At 22, Szoboszlai could spend the next ten years of his career with the Reds, and the midfielder seems right at home at Anfield alongside his new teammates.
