Danny Murphy has predicted Darwin Nunez to become a superstar for Liverpool this season, with the striker the hero last weekend against Newcastle United.
Writing for the Daily Mail, the former Liverpool player tipped the Uruguay international to explode onto the scene after a mixed first season with the Anfield side last year.
When asked to describe Nunez’s potential for Liverpool, Murphy said, “I think we’re about to see the best from Darwin Nunez. He’s going to be a superstar. Give him time.”

Having scored a brace for Liverpool from the bench last week against Newcastle, Nunez already looks like a new player for the Reds, with many expecting the striker to start today against Aston Villa.
And Murphy’s prediction on Nunez becoming a superstar could be on the money, with the forward looking like a whole different player based on what we have seen both this campaign and in pre-season.

Indeed, Nunez has all the qualities to become a bonafide superstar for Liverpool, and more big performances in the coming weeks will be key in the striker hitting his potential.
Nunez can become Liverpool’s most important attacker this season

Nunez’s cameo for Liverpool against Newcastle is already a contender for one of the performances of the season, and there’s real reason to believe that the striker can hit new heights this campaign.
The 24-year-old is an agent of chaos when in form and one of the deadliest forwards in Europe, something we have seen little of so far during his time as a Liverpool player.
Yet this can all change very quickly in the coming weeks, and today against Villa could see the forward add more goals to his tally ahead of potentially becoming Liverpool’s most important attacker.
