John Terry has reacted to news this deadline day that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool, with Al-Ittihad making a £150m bid for the winger.

Taking to Twitter, the Premier League legend was stunned by the size of the offer made for the 31-year-old, a bid that Liverpool have since rejected earlier this afternoon.

With Al-Ittihad expected to make a second offer for Salah, Liverpool are bracing themselves for what could be a world-record bid for the attacker, something the Reds could struggle to reject.

Indeed, with some time left in the window, Liverpool have precious hours to convince Salah to stay at the club, even if a figure as big as Terry thinks the winger is off to Saudi Arabia.

An offer as big as £150m is something we have only seen a handful of times in football, and Liverpool are now one of a few clubs to reject such a bid.

Whilst selling Salah for that much might make sense on the surface, replacing the Egyptian international would be near-impossible for Liverpool, who also have no time to find a suitable signing.

With the hours ticking away, it’s a battle against the clock for Liverpool to keep hold of Salah, with Saudi Arabia interest unlikely to stay quiet between now and tonight’s 11pm deadline.
