Al-Ittihad are reportedly preparing a world-record transfer offer to sign Mohamed Salah.

According to 90min, the PIF-owned Saudi Arabian club are willing to smash the current transfer record to bring Salah to Al-Ittihad, still held by PSG’s £200m move for Neymar in 2017.

With Liverpool eager to keep hold of Salah, even this transfer offer could be rejected by the Reds, who are unwilling to let their star winger leave for Al-Ittihad.

However, if the Saudi Arabia side are willing to break the transfer record to sign Salah, Liverpool could be helpless in stopping a transfer from going through.

A world-record offer for Salah is something nobody could have predicted at the start of the month, yet this is the reality we could now find ourselves in later today.

Al-Ittihad are desperate to bring the winger to Saudi Arabia, and beating Neymar’s transfer to PSG could do just that for the Liverpool winger.

Although it’ll the Reds with zero time to get any business done, Liverpool know that an offer exceeding £200m could be too good to turn down, even if it means waiting until January to sign a replacement.
