Richard Keys has claimed that Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool soon, with the winger linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Writing on his official website, the presenter predicted that the forward will depart Anfield to head to the Middle East, where Salah has been heavily rumoured to join Al-Ittihad.

Given Salah’s important to Liverpool, it’s unlikely that the winger will actually be allowed to leave the club this summer despite the numbers being reported surrounding a suspected bid.

However, that hasn’t stopped some pundits from claiming that Salah will make the switch to the Middle East, with Keys just one name who has now thrown his support behind a proposed deal.

Keys wrote about Salah’s rumoured move to the Middle East and Al-Ittihad: “He’s definitely leaving Liverpool. I think we all agree on that.

“What we don’t know is when, but don’t be surprised if it’s this week. Or, perhaps everybody waits until the international break, but right now the deal to take him to the Saudi league is very much on.”

No signing in Liverpool’s modern history has been as efficient as Salah, with the £34m spent by the Reds for the forward some of the best the Anfield side have ever spent.

Yet with the winger now linked with one final major move in his career, Liverpool simply can’t let Salah leave for Saudi Arabia just yet given what’s at stake this season.

The Reds need to return to next year’s UEFA Champions League, and to do that, they will need Salah in their ranks, with the forward’s impact impossible for Liverpool to replace in the market.
