Liverpool have reportedly held internal discussions about Douglas Luiz, with the Aston Villa star on the radar for the Reds.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the 25-year-old midfielder is an option for Liverpool heading into the final days of the transfer window, with Luiz being talked about internally by club officials.
Liverpool are expected to move for one more signing before Friday’s deadline, with Luiz one of many players Jurgen Klopp’s side are keeping tabs on to add to their ranks.

Whilst a deal might be difficult with Villa unlikely to offload Luiz, interest in Liverpool could turn the player’s head, with the leap a tantalising prospect.
Indeed, Luiz could be the saviour for Liverpool with one more midfielder needed for the Reds, and the Brazilian is now an option for the Merseyside giants.

Jacobs said about Liverpool’s interest: “Douglas Luiz is a name that has been discussed internally by Liverpool. I’m not aware of any movement at this point.”
Douglas Luiz could now want Liverpool move

Luiz has always shown quality that could make the midfielder an ideal signing for a top Premier League side, and Liverpool could be just that for the 25-year-old.
The Brazilian has been impressive under Unai Emery already this season, yet given the size of Liverpool as a club, Luiz’s head could be turned in the coming days.
With Liverpool now firmly interested, interest could intensify for Luiz, who might begin making noise at Villa to leave Birmingham in favour of a move further north to Anfield.
