Swansea City are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers, with the Championship side keen on a loan deal.

According to journalist Tom Coleman, the Welsh giants are eyeing a move for the Anfield fullback, with Chambers also subject to interest from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Hailed by Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes as an ‘outstanding’ player, Chambers is regarded as one of the most exciting players currently coming through at Liverpool.

And Swansea are now interested in signing the youngster on loan, though interest from Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen side could be a massive issue for the Championship side.

Indeed, the Swans have proven to be an excellent loan destination for Premier League youngsters, and Chambers could be their latest success story if they can secure a deal in the coming days.

Choosing between a Bundesliga side or a Championship club might feel like a straightforward decision to most players, but for Chambers, Swansea could be quite an appealing option.

The second-tier side have an impressive track record when it comes to developing Premier League talent on loan, and Chambers could thrive by playing regularly in the Championship.

Of course, Leverkusen also present an incredible opportunity to the defender, and Chambers will soon have to decide on either a year in Germany or spending the season in the Championship with Swansea.
