Liverpool are still looking for a new centre-back, as they close in on Ryan Gravenberch.
The Reds are reportedly advancing in talks with Bayern Munich to bring Gravenberch to Anfield before next Friday’s transfer deadline.
And in the meantime, 90min report that Jurgen Klopp, Jorg Schmadtke and co won’t stop there.

They claim that the Liverpool bosses continue to discuss options for a new defender to be brought in, alongside a new midfielder.
No names are put forward though, and it’s claimed that the Reds will only make a move if they feel ‘the right player is available for the right price.’

Liverpool pondering defensive signing
Liverpool’s transfer policy will rightfully come under some scrutiny if nothing is done by this time next week.
It’s all very well looking at the centre-back market, but the Reds can no longer afford to be picky.
After Ibrahima Konate’s injury today, they simply have to act. There’s no indication of how long the 24-year-old is out just yet, but Klopp did confirm it was a muscle injury. That might be bad news.

As a result, Liverpool are predictably in a position of scrambling in the final days of the window yet again.
Once a well-oiled machine in the transfer market, they’ve become hesitant and indecisive. The only thing that seems clear right now is that the Reds won’t have done enough.
The one saving grace is that Konate’s injury has come now rather than in a week’s time. There’s still a chance for Liverpool to make sure they’re well covered.
Unfortunately, we don’t hold out a great deal of faith that things will be resolved to supporter’s satisfaction. The Reds can often surprise in the market, though. Let’s hope for one of those out of the blue deals.
