Liverpool have reportedly made a contract offer for Ryan Gravenberch, with the Reds one of the leading clubs to sign the Bayern Munich star.

According to the Mirror, the Dutch midfielder has a proposal on the table from the Anfield side, with Manchester United also making a contract offer in their own bid to sign Gravenberch.

Interest in Gravenberch has increased greatly in the past few days, with Liverpool seemingly the favourites to sign the former Ajax star as a fourth midfield addition this window.

Lauded by journalists as a ‘phenomenal’ player, the 21-year-old seems keen on leaving Bayern with Thomas Tuchel yet to give Gravenberch a professional minute in the opening two games of the season.

And Liverpool making a contract offer is significant, with the Reds now putting plans into motion to actually bring Gravenberch to Merseyside before the window shuts.

Indeed, a convincing proposal could lead to Gravenberch pushing Bayern to sell him, which in turn will make a deal for Liverpool move faster as we head into the final ten days of the market.

The race for Gravenberch is heating up, with Liverpool and United set to go head-to-head for the Bayern midfielder ahead of the final days of the summer window.

And for the Reds, they must try every trick in the book to win Gravenberch’s signature, with the youngster a dream long-term addition to the club.

With a contract offer now on the table, the ball is in Bayern’s court to allow Gravenberch to leave, with Liverpool likely to still try some more tricks to push through a transfer.
