Fabrizio Romano has said Liverpool will not sell Mohamed Salah this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabia clubs.

Speaking on his official YouTube, the journalist said that the Egyptian international will not be considered for sale at all this window, with Liverpool keen to keep hold of Salah.

Reports have intensified in recent weeks that Saudi Arabian clubs will make a move to bring Salah to the Middle East to join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar.

However, both Liverpool and Salah are not interested in a move this summer, with the Reds making it clear that their superstar winger is not for sale at all.

Romano said when discussing if Liverpool would even consider selling Salah this window: “From what I am told the position of Liverpool is very clear.

“Salah is untouchable, with Fabinho and Henderson they did something special, as they allowed the players to leave. But they don’t want Mo Salah to leave.”

Salah staying at Anfield for this season felt like a given based on how many key players have left the club this summer, which means next year will be the real challenge for Liverpool.

2024 has been earmarked as when Saudi Arabian clubs will go all-out to sign Salah, and Liverpool now have the task of having to convince the winger to remain in the Premier League.

Success this season could be huge in Salah remaining on Merseyside next summer, and this latest update means Liverpool have the time needed to prove they’re worth the forward sticking around for.
