Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies has lauded how impressive Alisson Becker is in training sessions.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the teenager revealed that it took weeks before he saw the Brazilian international make a mistake in training.

Davies is regarded as a potential starter for Liverpool and one of the best young goalkeepers in England, yet even he is astounded by the level of quality Alisson shows in training.

Despite how good Alisson is, it hasn’t stopped Davies from learning everything possible in the art of goalkeeping, with the 30-year-old the dream mentor for the teenager.

Davies said: “I remember when I first started training with the first team every day, I think it was a few weeks before I even saw him make a slight mistake, dropping the ball or something.

“That’s why he’s the best in the world because his levels are so high and he doesn’t take his foot off the pedal. He really is superhuman in terms of goalkeeping. He always knows what the right thing to do is at the right time.”

Alisson now stands as one of the most senior figures at Liverpool, and the Brazilian now has a job to help nurture the next generation at Anfield both on and off the pitch.

The shot-stopper is one of the best at what he does in the world and in the sport, and the likes of Davies learning from Alisson will be key in a new era of players taking the world by storm.

Indeed, Alisson’s performances in training will only motivate Davies to do better each and every day, and the teenager won’t find a better mentor in the world than the Liverpool no. 1.
