Callum Wilson has claimed Mohamed Salah looked annoyed after the winger’s goalless performance for Liverpool against Chelsea on Sunday.
Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, the Newcastle United striker made the assumption that the Egyptian international was frustrated after failing to score against his former side.
Wilson said on Salah’s body language on Sunday: “From Liverpool’s point of view it’s the first season that Salah has not score on opening day. He didn’t look happy the other day.”

Having scored in every Premier League opener since joining Liverpool in 2017 for £34m, it is understandable why Salah looked annoyed after his performance against Chelsea.
With Salah also having a goal ruled out by VAR, there is an extra reason for the 31-year-old to look as annoyed as he did, especially with Liverpool failing to claim all three points on the day.

Indeed, whilst Salah’s attitude could bring up some concerns, there’s no doubt that the forward will redeem himself sooner rather than later, with AFC Bournemouth on the horizon for Liverpool.
Salah can put Chelsea pain to bed for Liverpool this weekend

Salah is set for one of his biggest years yet as a Liverpool player with the forward expected to push the Reds to a UEFA Champions League finish and even beyond depending on what happens this summer.
Although it’s disappointing for the forward to fire a blank against Chelsea, Salah’s mentality means that the winger will be back with a vengeance in the weeks to come.
And with Bournemouth next up for the Reds, Salah has the potential to get off the mark for the season in a big way against the Cherries, with redemption in the air for Sunday’s performance.
