Real Madrid reportedly have no interest in selling Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, with Liverpool one of many clubs interested in signing the midfielder.

According to the Athletic, the Spanish giants consider the French 23-year-old as a key player for their future plans, with Tchouameni himself also not keen on leaving Madrid despite interest from Liverpool.

Rumours have been bubbling all summer on if Liverpool will make a move to sign Tchouameni one year after missing out on the midfielder to Madrid, where the youngster’s fortunes were mixed last season.

However, it now seems pretty clear that Tchouameni won’t be leaving Madrid, with Jurgen Klopp once again set to miss out on another midfield target.

Liverpool this summer have been messy and unlucky in their latest bid to sign a central midfielder, with Chelsea beating the Reds to both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

And now, Liverpool will miss out on Tchouameni for another year, with the French midfielder set to allude the Anfield giants for at least one more season before rumours inevitably reignite again in 2024.

Tchouameni has been linked with Liverpool for what feels like forever, and with Madrid making their stance known, the Reds simply have to give up on signing the Frenchman.

Whilst the 23-year-old would be a dream signing for Liverpool, Carlo Ancelotti and his side are completely aware of how good Tchouameni is and the exciting potential the youngster possesses.

As a result, Tchouameni leaving Madrid feels like a pipedream, and Klopp has to move on to other targets whilst he still can this window.
