Liverpool could reportedly move for OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram having been snubbed this week by Romeo Lavia.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are still following the French international despite interest in the youngster dying down in recent weeks, with Lavia Liverpool’s main midfield target.
However, with the Southampton star now set to join Chelsea after rejecting Liverpool, the Merseyside giants have to seek other targets, with Thuram potentially back on the agenda for Liverpool.

As reported by the Northern Echo, though, Nice won’t let Thuram go for cheap this summer, with the Ligue 1 side already demanding as much as £60m for the French international.
With Liverpool out of the race for Lavia and failing in a £110m bid for Moises Caicedo, the Reds could now be expected to pay a good amount for Thuram though a move come to fruition in the coming days.

Romano said: “Liverpool will now move on to different targets. They keep following both Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone as they did earlier in the summer, but let’s see who they will ‘attack’ now.”
Thuram could prove to be a better signing for Liverpool than Lavia

Although Thuram is three years older than Lavia and is yet to play in the Premier League, there’s a lot about the Nice star’s game that could make the towering midfielder an instant hit for Liverpool.
Athletic, versatile and bursting with potential, Thuram has all the tools needed to thrive with Liverpool should the midfielder make the move to Anfield this summer.
Moreover, with Liverpool desperate to make another midfield signing, Thuram could be open to making the switch to Merseyside in the coming weeks, with this new rumour certainly one to keep an eye on.
