Liverpool have reportedly been left furious over Moises Caicedo’s decision to join Chelsea, with the Reds failing in a £110m bid to sign the midfielder.
According to the Evening Standard, Anfield officials are absolutely fuming over the Brighton & Hove Albion’s star pending move to west London, with Liverpool confident they were going to sign Caicedo.
The Reds made a club-record £110m offer to sign Caicedo, only for Chelsea to come in with a £115m bid of their own to beat Liverpool to the Ecuador international.

With Caicedo also preferring a move to Chelsea, the Anfield side have rightly been left furious over the midfielder’s decision to snub a switch to Merseyside this summer.
Moreover, Romeo Lavia’s imminent move to Chelsea has likely only added to Liverpool’s fury, with two top targets now set to join Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool have every right to be mad at Caicedo outcome

Chelsea’s spending is once again set to know no bounds this summer with the Blues due to break the British transfer record for the second time this year for Caicedo.
And for Liverpool, they have every right to be fuming with how this transfer saga has ended, with the Reds set to be left empty-handed despite looking on course to land one of Caicedo or Lavia.
With time running out in the window, Liverpool have to act fast if they’re to remedy this outcome as best as possible, with good players still out there in the market who could be sold on a move to Anfield.
