Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race to sign Moises Caicedo, with Liverpool and Chelsea also chasing the Brighton & Hove Albion star.

According to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the Bundesliga giants have entered the picture for the midfielder, with Bayern enjoying an insane transfer news day of their own with Harry Kane now close to signing.

However, it now appears that Bayern are not stopping at just Kane, with Caicedo being explored as a possible option for the Bavarian side as another statement signing this window.

Liverpool’s interest in Caicedo has intensified immensely today with the Reds now looking to sign the Brighton star ahead of Premier League rivals Chelsea, who looked like the favourites.

And now, an extra layer of drama has been added to the transfer saga with Caicedo now wanted by Bayern, though Liverpool might not see the German side as any real threat.

Bayern are on the brink of spending close to £90m on Kane, a transfer that will help transform the club and likely put an end to their summer spending giving the magnitude of the deal.

And for Liverpool, this means that Thomas Tuchel’s side might be no real threat at all to Caicedo, who could be Anfield bound if the Reds play their cards right.

As we know, Caicedo wants to stay in the Premier League, and a club like Liverpool will be appealing for the midfielder, with the Anfield side also likely to outspend Bayern on whatever offer they put up.
