Thiago Alcantara reportedly has no intention of leaving Liverpool this summer despite rumours that the midfielder was subject to an offer from Saudi Arabia.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish international does not want to depart Anfield amid news this morning that Al-Hilal had made a bid to sign Thiago, a proposal that will be seemingly shot down by the midfielder.
Thiago’s future has been a big talking point this summer, with the Liverpool midfielder’s contract due to expire next year, something that could inspire an exit this window for the right price.
However, Thiago seems intent on staying at Liverpool, with the £25m maestro eager to return to his best and get back to performing at a world-class level once more.
Indeed, with Liverpool selling Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, offloading Thiago as well could be a disastrous play from the Reds, especially with experience heads needed in the midfield.

Liverpool have to keep hold of Thiago this summer

Selling Thiago for a reasonable transfer fee could be an appealing idea for many fans. However, with Liverpool already selling two huge names in Henderson and Fabinho, the Spaniard can’t be allowed to follow suit.
Thiago now sits as one of Liverpool’s oldest players and the most experienced midfielder in the current pool of options, and the 32-year-old can now expect a bigger role with the club next season.
Whilst there might be temptation to sell Thiago for more funds in the transfer budget, Liverpool aren’t in a position where they can offload another midfielder given their limited options.
