Nat Phillips is reportedly set to leave Liverpool soon amid interest from a handful of clubs from around Europe, with Leeds United also in talks to sign the defender.
According to journalist Neil Jones, the 26-year-old centre-back will depart Anfield this summer, with an exit expected to take some place this month as Liverpool and Phillips look to identify the right transfer.
Phillips spent most of last season on the bench, and with the defender now at a stage in his career where he should be playing regular football, a departure from Liverpool would be ideal for the Bolton-born player.

And interest is seemingly high in Phillips, with Leeds the side are reportedly pushing the hardest to sign the Liverpool player, who seems keen on leaving Anfield for good this summer.
Indeed, Phillips deserves a shot at a real career in football, and the defender looks bound for a move. Jones said: “Nat Phillips will surely leave. He’s had an injury and so hasn’t featured so far in pre-season.

“Leeds are not the only club at the table – several in the Championship, Germany and the Netherlands have enquired. A matter of time, I’d say, and a case of the player picking the right option for himself.”
Phillips has to leave Liverpool as soon as possible this month

Phillips is one of a handful of players who could do with a move from Liverpool this summer, and the defender would save himself a lot of hassle if he can secure a transfer as early as possible this August.
Having missed most of pre-season action due to injury, Phillips is already making up for lost time, yet agreeing an exit from Liverpool early could be key in the defender starting the new season with a bang.
Moreover, with interest now high in Phillips, winning a move might be easier than expected, especially with big clubs like Leeds already in talks for the centre-back over a transfer.
