Saudi Arabia are reportedly plotting to sign Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as their next slate of superstar additions.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Premier League duo are the next big-name targets for the Middle Eastern state as Saudi Arabia looks to splash even more money on signings from the English top-flight.

Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for some time, whilst De Bruyne has now emerged as a new target with City teammate Riyad Mahrez making the move east this summer to Al Hilal.

WIth Salah one of the best players in world football, it make sense why Saudi Arabia are now keen to sign the Egyptian international, with Muslim players being targeted to join the division this summer.

As per the report, Saudi Arabia’s transfer window ends September 20th, nearly three weeks after the Premier League’s market shuts for the summer, which could cause a massive problem for Liverpool.

Indeed, whilst there’s still a small chance that the £34m winger will quit Anfield this summer, Saudi Arabia’s interest in Salah could soon become an issue if they start to push hard enough for the attacker’s services.

Saudi Arabia’s football explosion this summer could prove to either be a flash in the pan or the beginning of something different in the sport, and the additions of Salah or De Bruyne could be game-changers.

The duo are two of the best players in world football as well as some of the most marketable athletes on the planet, and Saudi Arabia winning their signatures would be another major step for the Middle Eastern state.

Whilst there’s still no telling if the pair would actually make the move, Salah or De Bruyne to Saudi Arabia remains possible given the immense finances such a transfer could involve.
