Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly pushing Al-Nassr to sign Federico Chiesa, with Liverpool also interested in the Juventus winger.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese international is keen for the Saudi Arabian side to flex their financial muscle this summer with a move for Chiesa, who is free to leave Juventus.
The 25-year-old has been available for transfer for the majority of the window, with the report stating that Liverpool remain interested in signing Chiesa having been linked with the winger for the last few years.

Yet the Reds could now face competition for Chiesa’s signature from Al-Nassr, especially with Ronaldo now putting pressure on the club to make a move for the Juventus superstar this month.
Lauded by Sky Sports as a ‘sensational’, it’s perhaps no wonder why Ronaldo wants Chiesa to join him in Saudi Arabia, with the Italian one of the best wide-attackers in all of Europe.

Although Liverpool are interested in Chiesa, the Merseyside club’s need for a midfielder and defender could once again put their chaser for the winger on ice, allowing Al-Nassr the chance to sign Ronaldo’s former teammate.
Ronaldo inspiring Chiesa to snub Liverpool would be quite a twist

Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in football is something that is becoming hard to ignore, and Liverpool losing out on Chiesa to Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr would be quite the twist.
The 25-year-old is good enough to star for many of Europe’s biggest sides, and a move to the Middle East at this stage of Chiesa’s career would be viewed by many as a waste.
However, with Ronaldo now seemingly pushing Al-Nassr’s interest in Chiesa, Liverpool losing out on the winger to a former Premier League foe would certainly be an interesting twist.
