Liverpool are reportedly ready to launch an opening offer to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade.
According to Gazeta Esportiva, the Reds will soon make a €25m (£20m) bid for the 22-year-old, with the Brazilian quickly emerging as a top target for Liverpool this August.
Whilst efforts continue to be made to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton, it now looks like Andre could also be headed to Liverpool if the Anfield side can strike a deal with Fluminense for the youngster.

Hailed by Breaking The Lines as a ‘complete’ midfielder, Andre’s ability to play as both a defensive anchor and further up the pitch makes the South American an appealing option for Liverpool as a replacement for Fabinho.
And with Liverpool now set to bid for Andre, there’s a good chance that the Merseyside are internally stepping up their efforts to bring the midfielder to the Premier League this month.

Indeed, interest in the Brazilian seems to have exploded this week, and this latest update strongly suggests that Liverpool will soon make an official move for the midfielder in the coming days.
Liverpool signing both Andre and Lavia would be excellent business

Signing two defensive-minded midfielders might be an interesting move from Liverpool, but with the Reds have zero players capable of operating in this role, recruiting both Andre and Lavia could be a wise move this summer.
Whilst Lavia is clearly the more exciting prospect, Andre will provide competition and continental experience to a crop of midfielders that are now lacking such aspects after Fabinho and Jordan Henderson’s departures.
Moreover, competition for one position between two young players could help Andre and Lavia reach their true potential, a prospect that could leave Liverpool with an incredible set of options in midfield.
