Liverpool have reportedly made contact to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade, with the Reds moving to recruit the Brazilian youngster.

According to journalist Melissa Reddy, the Anfield side have made their first move for the 22-year-old talent, with Andre considered one of the most exciting talents in all of South America.

Lauded by Breaking The Lines as a ‘complete’ midfielder, Andre could be signed by Liverpool alongside Romeo Lavia, with the Reds pushing to complete a deal for the Southampton maestro.

With Liverpool losing both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in recent days, both players could be ideal replacements for the midfielders, with their ages huge selling points for the Reds.

Whilst Lavia is the more established name, Andre could be just as exciting for Liverpool than the Belgian, with the midfielder a talent ready to show the world what he’s capable of in the Premier League.

Lavia’s arrival looks written in the stars with Liverpool launching a second bod for the midfielder this week, yet Andre could be just as good for the Reds if a deal can be struck with Fluminense.

Part of the so-called ‘Golden Generation’ in Brazil, Andre has the quality to make a real name for himself in England with Liverpool, with the midfielder an ideal partner for Lavia.

Moreover, a deal could be quite easy to conclude given how cheap Andre will be when compared to Lavia, with Fluminense’s asking price likely to be below the £25m mark.
