Liverpool are reportedly still interested in signing Ryan Gravenberch, with Bayern Munich listing the midfielder for loan this summer.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, the Dutch international could still be wanted by the Reds, with another midfielder being lined up after the arrival of Southampton star Romeo Lavia.

Bailey said: “There is still an interest in Gravenberch at Bayern. Maybe, he’s available on loan, is Lavia experienced enough to start at Liverpool? It wouldn’t surprise me to see another two and that would be four new midfielders.”

This week has seen Jordan Henderson complete his £12m move to Saudi Arabia with Fabinho expected to follow suit in the coming days, meaning Liverpool could do with an extra midfield signing on top of Lavia.

And Bayern’s 21-year-old midfield prospect could be an answer for Liverpool, with Gravenberch heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer having failed to break into Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

Labelled by Fabrizio Romano as a ‘perfect’ signing for Liverpool this summer, a move for Gravenberch, especially on loan, could be a smart move from the Reds, especially with Fabinho set to leave Anfield next week.

Gravenberch’s first year with Bayern left a lot to be desired, and Liverpool should entertain the prospect of signing the midfielder on loan for the season.

As we know, Liverpool are in the market for another midfielder with Henderson and soon Fabinho leaving Anfield, with Lavia simply not enough to cover the duo.

Moreover, a loan move for Gravenberch gives Liverpool the reassurance that if the deal goes wrong, they are not tied to keeping the 21-year-old around for a number of years.
