Liverpool are preparing for the new season out in the Far East and will take on Leicester City in a friendly tomorrow.
The Reds will face a tough test against Enzo Maresca’s new-look Foxes. After being relegated, the Leicester players will be keen to show the new manager they mean business.
Of course, the same can be said for Liverpool’s players. New signings like Szoboszlai and Mac Allister will be keen to impress, while a number of youngsters could get minutes.
However, one young player who won’t be playing is Stefan Bajcetic. The 18-year-old is at home recovering from a small injury.

But Klopp, speaking about Bajcetic today, seems super-excited by the young midfielder and admitted he has been very impressed by what he’s seen so far.

“Super-talented player, a really cool package. Unfortunately we didn’t see him playing for a while because it was a really nasty, not a bad injury but for a young player an annoying one where you feel pretty quickly fit again but still not allowed to do a lot and then you have to wait and wait and wait, and then from a specific moment on you can go – and that’s where we are now,” Klopp said.
“Yeah, played for us six, played for us eight, scored goals for us. In a really young age showed a lot of tactical discipline, is footballing-wise really good, good overview, good passing, a lot of good things.”
RTK’s View: Bajcetic can be one of the stars of the season
When players leave there is always an opportunity for someone in the squad already and with Henderson, Milner and Fabinho off, Bajcetic now has a big chance to step up.
The youngster showed last season how good he is and there is no doubt the Reds have a real gem on their hands here.
With a bit more work from Klopp and his coaching staff and patience, Bajcetic can be a real star. Next season is a big one for him and with a midfield opening available, the youngster could well star for Liverpool next term.
