Real Madrid reportedly have no intention of selling Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, with Liverpool linked with the midfielder.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Spanish giants are unwilling to part with the French international amid growing reports that Liverpool are again interested in signing Tchouameni.

The Reds missed out on the 23-year-old last summer as Madrid beat Liverpool to Tchouameni’s signature, though the arrival of Jude Bellingham this year has led to rumours that Liverpool could move back in for the midfielder.

However, these claims seem to be weightless, with Madrid now seemingly unwilling to part with Tchouameni despite the Frenchman having a mixed first year in the Spanish capital.

With Liverpool also in the hunt for a midfielder, links to Tchouameni did add up. But with Madrid now issuing a firm stance on the youngster, the Reds will have to again move on from the former AS Monaco star.

Praised by French media as an ‘extraordinary’ talent, Tchouameni to Anfield always felt like a lofty transfer this summer, especially with Jurgen Klopp’s side not in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Whilst Tchouameni had his low moments for Madrid last season, there is now every expectation that the midfielder will go on to impress under Carlo Ancelotti next year, with Bellingham an incredible upgrade as a teammate.

As for Liverpool, Tchouameni could always remain a pipedream, with the midfielder simply too good a target for the Reds to one day secure despite how close the Merseyside giants came last year to signing the Frenchman.
