Poster boy of fierce rivals Manchester United, Marcus Rashford has shared that he dislikes Liverpool more than he dislikes Manchester City.

Speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap, the United forward was poised with the question of who he is least fond of between the club’s two main foes.

Without hesitation, the 25-year-old claimed it was the Reds who bothered him most.

“I do not like none of them,” said Rashford.

“I dislike Liverpool more.

“Liverpool all day.”

Agreeing with the England international, Neville also stated that he disliked Liverpool more than the Cityzens, but that he knew other ex-United players who saw it the other way around.

Namely Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.

“It is interesting that,” Neville stated.

“I am Liverpool, but if you speak to Scholesy or Butty they say City.”

Rashford asked the former United right-back why that was, with Neville assuming it was due to the pair growing up local to the Manchester area, though the forward was quick to shrug off those remarks hailing from Wythenshawe himself.

Realistically, it is hard to blame the forward for his opinion given his record against the Reds.

Rashford vs Liverpool

In 15 appearances versus Liverpool, Rashford has been on the winning side just three times despite hitting the back of the net on six occasions.

He has been on the losing side six times, including recent 7-0, 5-0 and 4-0 losses in the last two seasons alone.

It is bound to be hard recovering from multiple thrashings of that calibre, they will certainly live long in the memory of everyone connected and unfortunately for the former wonderkid he had to endure them first hand.

Not only that, but he has had to witness the overriding success that Jurgen Klopp has brought to Liverpool whilst United were slugging away for a top four spot.

The Reds have won it all, coinciding with the Red Devils’ most unsuccessful period in recent history, so in fairness I think he can be forgiven for his opinion.
