Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr have reportedly launched an offer to sign Sadio Mane, just one year after the winger left Liverpool to join Bayern Munich.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Saudi Arabian side have made a €40m (£34m) bid to bring the Senegal international to the Middle East, with Bayern already open to selling Mane this summer.
The forward has been a colossal flop in Germany despite looking like a safe bet for Bayern, with the former Liverpool star falling out with many of the club’s most influential figures, infamously Leroy Sane.
However, Al-Nassr now look primed to sign Mane, with an unlikely attacking partnership with Ronaldo now potentially on the cards if the deal goes through in the coming days.
Indeed, many Liverpool fans will wince at the sight of Mane alongside a Manchester United legend like Ronaldo, yet few will argue the winger’s decision to quit Bayern to head out to Saudi Arabia where he will become a superstar.
Mane and Ronaldo could lead Al-Nassr to Saudi Pro League glory

The Saudi Pro League is shaping up to be one of the most-viewed divisions outside of Europe, with the title race likely to be an exciting watch, especially with Mane subject to interest from Al-Nassr.
Whilst the likes of Karim Benzema and Roberto Firmino could be top scorers in the diviosn, Mane alongside Ronaldo could be a deadly combination and one that leads Al-Nassr to Saudi Pro League success.
As we know, the former Liverpool man is still very much one of the best attackers in the world, and with a talisman like Ronaldo to bounce off, the Senegalese international could be a real star in the Middle East.
