Brentford are reportedly interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who just left Liverpool this summer as a free agent.

According to the Mirror, the west London side are keen to recruit the 29-year-old midfielder and to get his career back on track, with Brentford hoping to repeat their success with Christian Eriksen last year.

As per the report, Oxlade-Chamberlain has three offers on the table, with Besiktas willing to make the midfielder their highest-paid player whilst an unnamed Saudi Arabia club is also interested in the former Liverpool man.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is the last of the four Liverpool first-team players who left this summer to find a club, and time could soon be running out for the midfielder to find a new home ahead of the new European season.

Which is why Brentford could be an ideal move for the former Arsenal star, with the Bees having a great track record of improving players regardless of age, an idea that could be appealing to Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Moreover, Thomas Frank’s style of player could suit Oxlade-Chamberlain perfectly, with the midfielder’s versatility something that could give the 29-year-old a starring role for Brentford next season.

Hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Andy Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain has the quality to become a star name again in the Premier League if the midfielder chooses to sign for the right club, which Brentford most likely is.

The Bees are one of the best-run teams in all of England and are a side that are willing to give players a second chance, something Oxlade-Chamberlain needs desperately in the Premier League.

Whilst Saudi Arabia and Turkey could be appealing, Oxlade-Chamberlain is a player who could perform best at home, and Brentford could be too good an offer to turn down for the former Liverpool man.
