Liverpool’s analysts are reportedly thinking non-stop about Cheick Doucoure, with the Reds interested in the Crystal Palace midfielder.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, Anfield officials have the Eagles superstar on their mind amid growing rumours that Liverpool want to sign Doucoure.

Bailey said when asked about Liverpool’s stance on the midfielder: “Palace don’t need to sell and he’s an important player for them. From what I’m told in the [Liverpool} analytics department he’s a real highlight. They love him.”

The Mali international only joined the south London side last year. However, the 23-year-old has clearly caught the eye of Liverpool transfer officials, with a move now potentially on the cards.

Although Palace’s demands might be a stretch for the Reds, Doucoure’s ability and potential could be worth the risk for Liverpool, especially with club analysts now drooling over the former RC Lens superstar.

Indeed, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho set to leave for the Middles East next week, gears could start turning very soon for Liverpool over who should replace the duo, with Doucoure an obvious candidate.
