Al-Ittihad’s has reportedly landed in London to finalise the transfer of Fabinho, with the Liverpool midfielder set to complete a move to the Saudi Arabia giants.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Premier League official is in England to seal the deal for Fabinho, with Liverpool set to recoup as much as £40m for the Brazilian international through this transfer.

Fabinho is one of two Liverpool midfielders set to join Saudi Arabian clubs next week, with Jordan Henderson close to reuniting with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq in a transfer worth £12m.

However, there’s no denying that Fabinho’s move to Al-Ittihad is one of the biggest wins of the transfer window for Liverpool, who can now fast-track their plans to rebuild the midfield position.

Indeed, the Brazilian’s departure will grant Jurgen Klopp the power to sign a replacement who can serve as Liverpool’s midfield anchor for many years to come, with the Reds eyeing the likes of Romeo Lavia and Cheick Doucoure.

For Fabinho and Al-Ittihad, the midfielder secures the move of a lifetime that will secure his future for himself and his family for the next five generations, with the Saudi giants adding to their growing squad of superstars.

Whilst for Liverpool, the Anfield side, their plan to overhaul the midfield is now pushed ahead by a year, with Klopp and his team now able to sign their ideal replacement for Fabinho, who will need a successor sooner rather than later.
