Juventus could now reportedly look to sell Federico Chiesa cheaper than intended this summer, with Liverpool interested in the winger.

According to CalcioMercato, the Turin-based side are now desperate to make a big-name sale to aid their finances, with Chiesa’s name now being suggested as a player who could leave at a cheaper rate.

The Italian international has been strongly linked with a move away from Juventus this summer, with Liverpool one of many clubs interested in signing the 25-year-old forward.

However, the Serie A star’s price tag has seemingly been a major sticking point, with no club, not even Liverpool, yet to make an official offer for Chiesa this summer.

As a result, Juventus are now facing the prospect of slashing the winger’s asking price, something that could persuade interested parties into bidding for Chiesa, a prospect that could interest Liverpool.

Indeed, 90min labelled the forward as a ‘world-class’ player, and whilst the Reds are stacked for wingers, signing Chiesa at a bargain price could be appealing option in the market for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool unlikely to want Chiesa despite price drop

Chiesa is without question an incredible forward who could offer a lot to many clubs. Yet even with a reduced asking price, Liverpool are still unlikely to move for the Italian.

As we know, midfielders are needed at Anfield with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both set to leave for Saudi Arabia next week, meaning a move for Chiesa would solve nothing in the Liverpool squad.

Moreover, even with Juventus wanting less for Chiesa, the winger himself could demand a high wage that Liverpool might be unwilling to match, especially if they feel the signing makes little sense in the first place.
