Liverpool are reportedly ready to make Aurelien Tchouameni a serious transfer target this summer, but only if Real Madrid put the midfielder up for sale.
According to the Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp remains interested in the French international. But a move for Tchouameni will only be possible if Los Blancos transfer list the 23-year-old.
Liverpool infamously came close to signing Tchouameni last summer before Madrid hijacked the deal and managed to bring the-then AS Monaco star to Spain, with the Reds being left empty-handed.
However, Liverpool never gave up their interest in Tchouameni, and the Reds could now move for the midfielder if Madrid decide to sell the Frenchman this summer, a prospect that is entirely likely.
The Mirror have reported recently that Madrid would sell the youngster for £90m. However, with Liverpool now in the money after the sales of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have gone through, a compromise could be made.
Indeed, Madrid’s hunt for Kylian Mbappe is no secret this summer. And selling Tchouameni to Liverpool, having already signed Jude Bellingham, could help Carlo Ancelotti’s side over the line for the PSG superstar.

Liverpool are in the market for a midfielder with Madrid looking at ways to raise funds for Mbappe. The solution? Sell Tchouameni to the Reds, with the transfer a win-win for all parties involved.
As we know, Tchouameni was on the verge of signing for the Reds last year before Madrid flexed their muscles to bring the French talent to Spain. And one year on from the transfer, the midfielder could end up at Anfield after all.
Of course, it could all come down to if Madrid think selling Tchouameni will finally help them sign Mbappe. Yet with the PSG star keen to move, Liverpool could hit the jackpot by bringing the midfielder to Merseyside this summer.
