Federico Chiesa is reportedly destined to leave Juventus this summer, with Liverpool still linked with a move for the Italian international.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the winger is ready to depart Turin with Juventus looking to sell Chiesa as part of a mass squad overhaul, with a number of top players expected to leave the Italian giants to help raise funds and balance out the books.
And Chiesa is now set to leave Juventus, with the report stating that Liverpool remain keen on the Serie A superstar alongside Newcastle United. Aston Villa were previously linked but have since dropped out due to a lack of interest from the forward.

Hailed by 90min as a ‘world-class’ player, Chiesa would be an outstanding addition to most top sides in Europe. Yet with Liverpool unlikely to sell an attacker this summer, the Reds look unlikely to be the Italian’s next destination in this transfer window.
Moreover, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson both close to leaving, central midfield is clearly the position Liverpool have to be looking at in the market, with Chiesa a player who would add little to Jurgen Klopp’s side given their current issues.
Chiesa to Liverpool rumours have to die down sooner rather than later

It’s pretty evident that Liverpool aren’t making a move for Chiesa anytime soon. And the longer this rumour persists, the more annoyed those at Anfield might get given that central midfield and defence still need addressing this summer.
As we know, Liverpool need a defensive midfielder to fill the void left by Fabinho once his transfer to Al-Ittihad goes through. And for all the good Chiesa can provide, the Italian solves nothing that Liverpool needs to fix this window.
