Liverpool are reportedly set to finalise Fabinho’s move to Al-Ittihad this week, with the midfielder due to move to Saudi Arabia in a £40m deal.
According to journalist Neil Jones, the Brazilian international will complete his transfer to the Middle East in the coming days after Al-Ittihad made an opening offer for Fabinho last week, a deal that has come out of nowhere but has now been agreed by all parties.
The 29-year-old will join Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante in Jeddah as Saudi Arabian sides continue to spend big on established European-based players, with Fabinho likely to be joined by Jordan Henderson, who is wanted by Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq.

Lauded by Thiago Alcantara as a ‘world-class’ player, Fabinho endured his worst season to date last year as Liverpool missed out on UEFA Champions League football. And a blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia is proving to be an ideal option for all parties.
Indeed, Liverpool could find it impossible to earn as much as £40m from selling Fabinho beyond this summer. And the midfielder accepting the offer could be massive in the Reds completing their squad overhaul, with a replacement expected to be signed in the coming weeks.
Liverpool have to act fast to replace Fabinho

Liverpool have arguably stumbled into the jackpot this summer in regards to Fabinho, with the midfielder in need of replacing and Al-Ittihad coming up with the goods to allow the Reds to again spend big in the market. And Jurgen Klopp should be quick in finding a replacement for the Brazilian.
As we know, the Premier League is back in just under a month, and the sooner an heir to Fabinho is signed the better Liverpool’s chances will be in integrating the new defensive midfielder into the starting XI, a prospect that could be quite the exciting one for supporters.
