Steven Gerrard is reportedly interested in signing Sadio Mane for Al-Ettifaq, with the Liverpool legend already closing in on a deal to bring Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia.

The former Liverpool attacker only moved to Bayern last summer. However, Mane’s time in Germany has so far been a disaster, and a move to Saudi Arabia could now be on the cards for the winger, who could reunite with Henderson in the Middle East.
The midfielder captained Mane during their together on Anfield as the pair won the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, as well as the League Cup and FA Cup in their last season together. And now, the forward and Henderson could play together under Gerrard.
Indeed, Mane could be tempted by a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, especially if Gerrard can secure Henderson’s signature in the coming days. And the trio could form quite the partnership in the Middle East ahead of the new Saudi Pro League season next month.

With Mane’s time in Bayern going so disastrously, a complete change of scenery could be appealing for the 31-year-old attacker. As such, a proposal from Saudi Arabia from Gerrard could be something of interest to the former Liverpool winger.
After all, the appeal of playing in a Muslim country is something that has already attracted Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante to Saudi Arabia this summer. And Mane could be the next player to make the move to the Middle East to continue his career.
