Liverpool will reportedly make a second offer to sign Torino defender Perr Schuurs, with the Reds already having an opening bid rejected for the centre-back.

According to Tuttosport, Jurgen Klopp’s side will soon submit a new offer for the Dutch talent as Liverpool look to beat the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham to Schuurs‘ signature, with the 23-year-old expected to leave Torino in the coming days.

As per the report, Liverpool’s new offer is expected to be just below Torino’s €40m (£34m) asking price for Schuurs. Yet there’s a good chance that the Reds could sweeten the deal with add-ons and incentives to get the deal over the Serie A side’s demands.

Praised as a ‘very aggressive’ player by Target Scouting, a centre-back has been on Liverpool’s transfer list for the entire summer. And whilst the Reds have had interest in the likes of Levi Colwil, it now looks like Schuurs will be the player the Anfield side make a big push to sign.

Indeed, at 23-years-old, Shuurs is one of the most exciting defensive talents in Europe having come through at Ajax and now succeeded in Italy with Torino. And for Liverpool, the youngster could be a shrewd signing if a deal can be reached with the Turin-based side.

Schuurs is looking more and more likely to head to the Premier League with each passing day. And this latest update seemingly indicates that Liverpool will return with a second offer to bring the Dutchman to Anfield, which could be accepted by Torino.

As we know, Schuurs is a player who Liverpool have liked for some years. And with the Reds now preparing a second bid for the defender, there’s a growing chance that the Merseyside giants could now land the 23-year-old after chasing the Serie A star for many windows.
