Levi Colwill yesterday shrugged off being asked if the defender was joining Liverpool, with the Chelsea defender strongly linked with a move to Anfield.
Speaking on Instagram Live, the England youth international was asked if he was making the move to Merseyside this summer, a question Colwill immediately shot down having just won the U-21 Euros with the Three Lions this summer.
Colwill’s future has been the subject of much debate in recent weeks, with Football London reporting that Liverpool have made an approach for the Chelsea defender after Brighton & Hove Albion had a £40m bid rejected for the 20-year-old centre-back.
And rumours are now starting to come to a head, with Colwill expected to discuss his Chelsea future with Mauricio Pochettino when the youngster returns to the west London side. Yet for Liverpool, they will be hopeful that the defender asks to leave the Blues for Anfield.
Liverpool could still win race to sign Colwill this summer

Colwill is slowly becoming one of the most talked about players in the Premier League transfer market this summer. And although Chelsea might hold all the cards, there’s still a chance Liverpool could land the centre-back’s signature in the coming weeks.
Indeed, Liverpool can offer Colwill regular football and a clear route to stardom as a replacement for Virgil van Dijk, whereas Chelsea’s inflated squad and lack of European competition next season will likely see the defender become just another benchwarmer for the west London side.
