Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of missing out on Torino defender Perr Schuurs, with Crystal Palace set to agree on a deal to sign the Dutchman.
According to DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, the Eagles have made a €35m (£30m) offer for Schuurs with a four-year contract already in place for the 23-year-old, with Liverpool now set to miss out on the Serie A centre-back to Palace.
Schuurs has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool this summer with Tuttosport even reporting that a bid had been made by the Reds for the defender. However, the offer fell way below what Torino are looking for, with Palace now making a suitable approach for the former Ajax man.
Indeed, Schuurs would have been an ideal signing for Liverpool as the Reds look to add quality depth to the centre-back position. However, Palace now look like they have beaten Jurgen Klopp to the punch in a deal that could prove to be a real bargain for the south London side.

Schuurs last season established himself as one of Serie A’s most exciting defenders. And for Liverpool, the Torino star could have been an ideal fit for what Klopp is trying to build this summer, which is why losing out to Palace of all clubs will feel like such a blow for the Reds.
As we know, Liverpool are in the market for a central defender who can both provide cover this season as well as one day potentially replace the likes of Virgil van Dijk. And Schuurs would have done just that, though Palace have now seemingly beaten the Anfield side to the punch.
