Adrian has said Darwin Nunez is determined to impress next season for Liverpool after a mixed first year at the club last term.
Speaking to the Reds’ official website, the Spanish goalkeeper revealed that Nunez is fired up and raring to go for Liverpool ahead of the new Premier League campaign, with the Uruguayan international hitting 15 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season.
The 24-year-old was criticised by fans and pundits for missing numerous big chances, yet many supporters now believe Nunez is now over these problems and will be a top goalscorer for Liverpool in the new campaign, where a title-challenge is expected from the Anfield faithful.

Indeed, everyone at Liverpool wants to see Nunez succeed. And Adrian has now said the player himself is driven to do better, with the goalkeeper saying: “He’s desperate to start scoring goals again, looking forward to the first friendly and to play and score some goals.
“I think he helped [us] a lot last season but I think this second season for him will be more calm. He has the experience of the first [season] now and he had to learn many things as well because he’s still very young, but I think he can help us a lot.”
Adrian’s comments should give Liverpool fans hope over Nunez

After one year in England, Nunez could be ready to explode for Liverpool after a frustrating season for himself and his new club. Yet with Adrian now saying the forward is desperate to impress, supporters should be confident in what’s to come from the striker next term.
As we know, Nunez impressed in the second-half of the season having struggled initially with Liverpool. And with Klopp expected to give the South American forward more chances, there’s not telling how far the attacker can go with the Anfield side.
