Levi Colwill has said he will soon decide on his Chelsea future after recent reports linking the defender with a move to Liverpool

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the England youth international revealed that he’ll sit down with his family and everyone involved to discuss his future, with Colwill’s future at yet to be decided despite starring for Brighton & Hove Albion last season and now with the U-21 Three Lions this summer.

As reported by Football London, Liverpool have made a recent approach for Colwill as the Reds continue to pursue the 20-year-old centre-back. And the defender’s latest comments strongly suggest that a decision will soon be made on what happens this summer.

Colwill is regarded as one of the best defensive talents in Europe after guiding Brighton to a European finish last campaign. And according to the player himself, he will soon talk to his family on what he wants amid growing interest from Liverpool.

Colwill said: “I’ll speak to my family, speak to everyone I need to, and make a decision. I’ve got to play at the end of the day to hopefully get there and go to the next (senior) camp. But if I’m here, I’ll still be happy. You’ve always got to be happy when you’re picked for any age group in England. It’s an honour.”

Liverpool have seemingly made Colwill their number one centre-back target for the summer. Yet with Chelsea keen to keep hold of the defender, the decision will seemingly come down to the youngster and what his family believes is best for the youngster.

Indeed, Anfield could be the best destination for Colwill given Jurgen Klopp’s impressive record of developing young players into world beaters. Yet the decision ultimately lies with the Chelsea man, who could be torn on what he wants to do this summer.
